Bot Follow Raids and Spam Protection

Recently, myself and many others have noticed more of the bots coming into streams. Unfortunately sometimes they can even do a follow raid and that is quite intimidating to deal with, especially if your a new streamer.
Most of the time it’s just them coming in and trying to put a link in chat for buying followers.
Fortunately there are a few tools to help with that, including a helper you can add to your streams that is located right on twitch and inside your moderation panel.
The biggest thing to try not to do is panic. Maintain a level head and breathe, it will be alright.

  1. Sery_bot is a fantastic help with helping to keep the bots at bay as it immediately removes and bans them. The database that Sery has is immense and keeps growing. It’s extremely easy to add to your stream (just click on the highlighted name above and it will take you straight to it’s twitch channel. From there all you have to do is follow the on screen prompts and in no time your channel will have that extra level of protection. Don’t forget to check out Serys website as it has it’s own prompts that you can use to help even further.

2. Twitch is always adding more safety tools, so make sure you check them out in your creator dashboard and activate the ones you think are relevant.

3. Commanderroot is another very useful tool that helps get rid of the followers if you happen to get follow raided. There’s a simple form that you fill out and it does the rest for you.

Hopefully this article helps you with some underlying questions that you may have or some information that you weren’t aware of. And remember your not alone! There are plenty of streamers that get these dastardly things all the time, so do ask for advice and/or help from our lovely community. After all, we do love to see you having fun and succeeding in happy and healthy streams!
